Polarized Summer Fun
Manhattan, NY - 6/26/07
Thursday was a beautiful day in the city and the first official day of summer, basically a perfect day to wear sunglasses and continently so. With this in mind we figured it would be a perfect opportunity to bring the Lab to the city one more time to reach out to some of our New York media outlets, accounts and last but not least, our good friends on the NYPD.From 10AM to 6PM, the Lab was parked in front of the Midtown South Precinct of the NYPD. We invited media to come check out the Lab and experience HDO firsthand, as well as educated them about our new polarized line-up and the new HoleShot watch line.
The group of media who attended included USA Today, Sirius Satellite Radio, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Self, CondeNast Traveler, 20/20, VisionCare Product News, Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, Cigar Aficionado and NY1 News. Other media met with us during the stop in the city were Paper Magazine, Men’s Fitness and FHM.
Another component of the event and the reason for our placement outside of an NYPD precinct was our conducting counterfeit training. Together, Oakley and NYPD do a great job of policing the streets to ensure that people are getting legitimate product.
HUGE thanks go out to Sandy Beattie and Jack for all of their efforts in helping us to secure the location for the event. Without them, this opportunity to reach out to NY in such a big way would not have been possible.
