• Weaknesses? Being around a lot of people. I’m a country boy; I live in Pemberton. My head is in skiing. I live in my own little world.
• Pow or a technical couloir? Both
• If you didn’t live in Whistler where would you live? South coast of British Columbia. Or any island. I like the ocean, mountains, the rivers…everything that leads from top to bottom.
• Favorite Breakfast: French toast
• Best day of the season? I’ve had a lot of good days, but it’s been inconsistent. They’ve mostly been days of three really good runs. It’s been good at home. I had ten really good days in Chamonix. I was skiing with Stian [Hagen} and Callum [Pettit]; doing laps down the backside of Le Tour. It was so nice…just the best snow.
• What is it about Europe you like so much? You’re probably expecting me to say the people or the food, but I pretty much only go there to ski. I ski with people that ski—who live to ski.
• Word you overuse? Fuck
• Most expensive purchase you’ve made? Snowmobile or computer
• How often do you use your sled? Hardly ever. I’m gonna sled a bunch someday. I thought I would this spring, but now I have a broken hand. I also need to get a truck.
• Favorite Oakley products and how they help you? Crowbars because they help me see while I’m ripping [laughs]. The Tanner Hall pants look sick and work well.
